Residential Home Inspection

Our comprehensive inspection process goes above & beyond the New York State Standards of Practice (SOP) for Home Inspectors. This SOP is the state law defining the minimum requirements that Inspectors must perform as well as what is considered out of scope for an inspection. Our inspections evaluate property site conditions, grading & drainage and building exterior. Structural aspects of the building foundation and framing, floor, walls, and ceilings. The roofing system and structure. Electrical, plumbing, heating, air-conditioning systems. Building interior and fireplace. Attic, insulation and ventilation. We leverage formal training, diagnostic tools & techniques and professional judgement to identify system failures, safety issues that should be addressed and items in need of repair. We take the time to teach you about your new house too. For example, where are your emergency shutoffs and what is an emergency shutoff? We make sure you understand these thnigs, know where they are and how to operate them. We will point out important maintenance items and share tips that can help make your home safter, more energy efficient and comfortable. Buying a home can be overwhelming and a bit scary - we help you through that too by providing clear understanding, reassurance that all issues can be addressed, and simple recommendations for any next steps.
